Siri Not Working on Apple Watch: 5 Tips for a Seamless Voice Assistant Experience!
Apple’s voice assistant “Siri” is available for all Apple devices, including the Apple Watch – using this assistance, your tasks can become easier. But, no – not if Siri won’t respond to your commands. This happens with many users – Siri is not working on Apple Watch (it is not responding to commands).
While on other devices, it is working fine! Let’s troubleshoot your Voice Assistance so you can use it on your Apple Smart Watch.
Check Settings
Sometimes, it’s just settings that prevent Siri from working on your Apple Watch. So, make sure “Listen for Hey Siri” is enabled. To enable it – Open the Home screen by pressing the Digital Crown on your Apple Watch. Next, find and open the Settings app, scroll down, and tap “Siri”. See if “Listen for Hey Siri” is enabled. If it is already enabled, disable it and enable it again.
Make Sure Your Internet Is Strong and Stable
For voice assistance to work properly, it is a basic requirement that you have a stable and strong internet. Although your watch can perform many functions even without the Internet, Siri requires a stable and strong Internet.
If you have your iPhone, your watch will conserve its power, so make sure you haven’t disabled your phone’s internet.
If your phone is out of the range of your watch, the watch will connect to your Wi-Fi network. Due to unstable internet, the voice assistant (Siri) will face problems in working properly.
Consider these steps:
- Turn on Wi-Fi on your Apple Watch.
- Restart your router.
- Connect your watch to your Wi-Fi again.
Verify Microphone Accessibility
Make sure the microphone or speaker on your Apple Watch is not blocked. For example: Your device does not have a protective case or any other obstruction around your microphone. Dust and dirt can build up on your microphone and make it harder for sound to pass through – clean it off.
Restart Your Apple Watch
Sometimes even this seemingly simple work can do great things. This step may help if Siri isn’t listening to you or it won’t wake up on your Apple Watch – simply restart your watch and try again.
Install Updates for your Apple Watch
Your watch’s software helps establish the connection between your watch and Siri (voice assistant). If it is out of date, Siri may not work properly.
So, it is recommended to install the latest watchOS so that it can connect to the voice assistance properly. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and install the newest watchOS.
